A multistate movement is about to sweep through the streets of New York City, New Jersey, and Philadelphia, and it begins now.
NEW YORK, NY –
This summer, thousands of believers, churches, organizations, and volunteers will join forces in a coordinated wave of outreach, prayer, and presence as part of Jesus Week 2025: Summer of Transformation—a saturation campaign rooted in the biblical vision of Acts 1:8 and powered by the growing Saturation to Transformation strategy.
From block parties and prayer walks to school partnerships, free book tables, mobile stages, and neighborhood evangelism, Jesus Week is unleashing more than 35 days of organized outreach across seven major regions. Each borough and city will host its own nine-day initiative, inviting local churches to saturate their own neighborhoods while connecting to a broader, unified movement.
“We’re not waiting for people to come to church,” said Pastor David Beidel, co-founder of the Jesus Week Movement and president of Urban Hope NYC. “We’re bringing the Church to the streets. This isn’t about moments. It’s about momentum that leads to lasting transformation.”
The campaign officially launched with a massive kickoff celebration in Times Square on May 31. Since then, the movement has moved into full swing with Jesus Week Manhattan, which runs from June 21 through June 29, led by a coalition of local pastors, outreach teams, and nonprofit leaders. Events are happening daily across parks, housing developments, sidewalks, and schools.
“This movement is about presence over performance,” said Mick Richards, co-founder and Executive Director of Jesus Week. “It’s not about big stages or special guests. It’s about consistent, Spirit-led service in the places that need it most. The goal is not just to hold events. The goal is transformation.”

Media, Mission, and Movement
This year’s outreach also marks the official storytelling launch of MissionWakeNews.com, a new frontline journalism platform covering Gospel transformation from the ground up. Contributors, reporters, artists, and videographers are documenting stories from the movement throughout the summer, publishing weekly articles in the City Missions and From the Frontlines sections of the site.
Through this effort, the MissionWake ecosystem is weaving together media, strategy, and Spirit-led service into a scalable model for city transformation.

A Call to Join the Movement
Jesus Week 2025 is more than a summer campaign. It is the next phase of a growing movement to reclaim the neighborhoods of our cities through prayer, compassion, creativity, and unity.
